Have this shelf unit in the garage, the weight capacities are nowhere near what is stated. Not worth it even at this price

Canned goods, most of the shelves have buckled in the middle. Maybe 50-75lbs max per shelf. Shelf unit remains in place and is never moved

I added hose clamps to the shelves where I needed the extra support to stop the shelves from working down. So far no issues holding cases of printer paper. Also added some to a shelf unit in the garage as extra support. As the other poser has said, they do bow a little in the middle but this hasn't affect their intended use so far.

I wish Walmart would bring back their $30 something heavy duty shelf, those things are holding lots of weight without any issues

The problem is how many center cross members there are. This unit has only 3 cross members to distribute all of the load in the interior of the shelf. In order to get the load rating, you need to have a lot more cross members or you need to have the load stretch to the outer frame where it's strongest. A lot of cheap wire shelves are made like this. And so are the Walmart shelving people here think are so great.

But then I noticed about that price for used ones with just damaged packaging. none of those are available anymore. So this is expired. Quality is bad! The black paint is chipping and the areas already chipped are rusted.
I think they put black paint on rusted metal.

I called to see if they would replace with chrome, but rep said that wasn't an option.
I'm returning..
