It is most certainly not garbage. I've had this kit for several years, until I finally upgraded to steel for a significant price difference. The accessories are of meh quality, but get the job done. The stone is pretty decent - it's hard to clean and will stain over time, but it will make your pizzas SIGNIFICANTLY better than just an aluminum baking sheet, for next to no money.

If I were looking for my first, low investment pizza stone, this deal would be at the top of my list.

Good price. I bought for $25 in April '22. Unfortunately I've only used the pizza cutter, but it's decent.

Might be fine as a starter
Things will drip on the stone, stain, and sometimes cause it to be smokey since its burning. Don't wash the stone with any soap, the stone will absorb the soap and make everything taste weird afterwards.
Another thing to note, the stone is pretty small, unless you want to make a pizza for 1 person at a time only

Upgrading to cast iron pizza pan made a world of a difference IMO, but you pay more for it, especially if you want larger than this 13". You'll need a larger pizza peel too. Anything cast iron will last forever and the heat retention is no comparison. You'll get the crispy crust like in the restaurant if you preheat the oven to 500F, or the max your oven will go.

I've had this for a few years. The stone is decent. I still use it to this day. I replaced the peel and the cutter with better ones. A good deal at this price IMO.

I need a 16"x16" pizza steel that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. *sigh*

The "Launch" of pizzas can be really difficult. I'd recommend placing Semolina on the peel, forming the pizza then placing it on the peel to dress (as opposed to say rolling it on the peel), and not letting it hang out on the peel for too long.
Metal peels are decent with being not too sticky... Wood is better but can only be used for launching/serving but not for being able to pick the pizza from the stone.

A granite stone works great on the grill. I use a sink cutout I got for free and cut down to size for my grill. Perfect crusts but heavy!
