Acoustic Sound Design, through their Amazon storefront has a sweet deal on the Ebony KLIPSCH Reference Premiere RP-5000F. The last time it was on sale (and hit the front page), it was on sale for $279 each. They are selling it for $50 less: $229.oo.

This is single speaker price; pair will be $458.

for anyone interested in purchasing these, listen to them first. they are very bright with a lot of high end coloration. test bench measurements show that above ~2,000Hz these are 5-7dB hot (that is a lot). see attached results. not sure how klipsch claims these are within +/-3dB (klipsch spec) from 40-25,000Hz. these don't measure anywhere near that. this price is only $25 less than the amazon regular price. the SD price meter at the top is incorrect.

If you dont have the room for the RP-8000Fs this is a great option (note: I mean physical room for the speakers but moreso overall room size).

Yeah, sorry about forgetting to add a reply saying that I updated the post. I was at work and needed to be quick with my edits. Big brother is always watching.

Not sure where you are getting the only $25 less from. The previous deal on the entire series (which is still active) had these marked down from 349 to 279. Now they are $50 cheaper. 2 are $100 cheaper than the amazon pair price.

I've never been a big fan of the "horny" tweeter design (synonymous with Klipsch since the beginning). Too bright and somewhat colored (although it could vary based upon your electronics). It can interfere with the overall soundstage. Impressive at first, perhaps, but it can become fatiguing over time.

Agreed. Bright sounding and weaker bass than you'd expect based on its size/appearance.
