Mine (of a different brand) has been functioning solid for 3 years supporting my boondocking and long road trip adventures. My advice:

1) Buy a size larger than you need. You will be pleasantly surprised.

2) Buy a fridge which either has a name brand compressor (example Secop previously known as Danfoss, LG etc) or offers 3 year or more warranty on its compressor.

3) The temperature gauge on all portable refrigerators is inaccurate because the sensor isn't actually in the cavity. Put your own thermometer inside for accurate readings.
It's a good deal, but I'd go for the 34qt one at $210 right now!
I have this exact fridge. Purchased at this price a few months back and have taken it on a few trips. No complaints, and the optional battery area doubles as storage for all the wires (just don't keep the power brick in there while it's running)

can i use this on a pontoon
12v accessory (cig lighter) wire included. My knock off Jackery 500Wh held at temp for three days no problem. Pulled about 45W when it was running.

Is the difference between this unit and say, the $110 40qt Coleman on amazon the cooling ability? The Coleman says it will cool up to 40 degrees less that surrounding temps. I take it units like this one can exceed this? E.g. maintain 34 degrees in say 90 degree surrounding temps?
Sounds like you're talking about a thermoelectric cooler - big difference is what you mention regarding maintaining a lower temp vs a relative temp, a consideration if using in hot weather, though there's benefits either way if you search for info on the differences of thermoelectric vs compressor coolers.

For anyone who might be looking at this for a Tesla, Amazon has the 23qt model (which will still fit in a Model Y under trunk compartment) for $199: BougeRV 12 Volt Refrigerator 12V Car Fridge 23 Quart Portable Freezer Compressor Cooler 12/24V DC 110~240 Volt AC for Truck Van RV Camper SUV Boat Travel Camping Road Trips Tailgating -7℉~50℉ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08G1BBBQW

Does this work well indoors or would a regular mini fridge be more energy efficient? How is the unit in terms of heat as well.

There's a 35 liter model coming out that'll fit in the subtrunk but you'll have to pay a premium (more than double the price) as it's made specifically for the Tesla Y. They also have one for the model 3 and x as well.

Not a good deal. I got a popular brand that is better than this in 40-something for $250. Goes low as 0° F
Why don't you post the name and link instead of a vague statement?

I bought the 30qt pro around Amazon prime day, so far it has worked well (including a beach trip right now).

If anyone is interested, I looked for a shoulder strap for this and went with one made for grizzly... It was a little tight fit through the loops and it is to be seen whether that plastic will hold up but so far working ok carrying it while loaded with drinks:

Got on Amazon for around $24 including tax and shipping. Bougerv has their insulated cover with carrying handles but doesn't have a good padded shoulder strap for around $60-75 with discounts. I'd guess the carrying rings on the cover would be better rated for carrying the weight but I'm taking my chances.

Keeping the power brick in the storage compartment seems to be fine to me, barely gets luke warm. I can pull out my thermal camera when I get home if you want definitive proof.

Does that give it room to "breathe"? Considering something like this for my M3 but not sure how much extra space it needs (beyond the actual dimensions)

I picked up two of these the last time they were on sale and love "em. As the wife and I have 2 Sienna camper vans we can use one as a freezer and the other as a fridge, for about the price of my Yeti. I find the 21q size perfect for our needs and comparable to my Yeti Tundra 45 when you factor in the room the ice requires and with no watery mess.

Very versatile set-up! On my last trip my CRPRO 21 kept things frozen at 0-5 degrees despite outside temps of 90+ and inside temps well over 100. It runs quietly and doesn't disturb my sleep even when placed just underneath my bed platform. You do need to leave adequate room for intake and venting.

Despite all the frequent " sales" on the BRV site, this $170 price is as cheap as I've been able to find.

I do think it's worth the upgrade to the CRPRO models over the base models. The light is handy as are the tiedown points. Also, it's great that the last settings are stored despite any interruption in power. It doesn't default to some arbitrary setting that requires you to set it up after every power cut.
Link for crpro recommendation?

I do not know anything about these things but I've been meaning to buy one of this since I live out in the country and I need something to keep my food cool during my costco and sams club runs.

Is this one any good? I want something to store in my Toyota minivan trunk.

I tried to find the brand of compressor but couldn't find it.

Interesting. Mine got uncomfortably hot, so I didn't want to chance it
