I have this and it works very well. I have it recording 24/7 on a 512GB card, and it has never shut down from overheating. I think it was on sale for $75 when I got it.
It definitely is not. It isn't worth it to even try if that is your need. I have a tiny USB-C card reader that I keep in my truck. If I want the video, I pop the microSD out and put it in the adapter, copy the file to my phone in seconds, and put it back in the camera. I don't mind the extra steps for the speed.
I bought some of the refurbished ones and they work great. This is one of my favorite dash cams. Got one for my kid, wife, and mother. Video came in handy once with a crash in front of me. That's why I bought them all one.

did you get the hardwire kit then to get the 24/7 recording?
I have the previous model and it sucks for downloading video over the air. It also says it is 4k, but it is not. Hope this one is better on downloading files...

Been looking for a new dashcam after getting wife a new car and the aukey with obd power didn't work correctly in new car... (Always on even in off mode) ... Must be an obd pin configuration difference in new accord...(it actually forced the car into limp mode so def a conflict) have the USB port power but car is USB c only so need an adapter to use it and the dangling wire setup in a new car is a joke...
Researching this model... Sounds like they don't even have the obd power option and I don't want to tap wiring harness .. anyone have a decent dashcam with features similar to this one that utilizes the obd port power option on a newer car?

I drive three different delivery vehicles. If you spend more than $15 dollars on a dash cam you're wasting your money. My $100 one failed and my $15 dollar ones have failed. When. These cameras record accidents. If a green car hits you you have proof that a green car hit you. You've got some sort of proof for your employer and the authorities. Plate numbers. Megghh. The police have bigger issues to attend to.
They all fail. They're in hot vehicles and direct sunlight for months on end. The key is to get one that has the features and quality you need, when you need it. Because odds are, you'll need it.

Looks like they have a hardwire kit that they sell on amazon, $30 though so 1/3 of the cost of the dashcam itself.
