I have this and it works very well. I have it recording 24/7 on a 512GB card, and it has never shut down from overheating. I think it was on sale for $75 when I got it.
It definitely is not. It isn't worth it to even try if that is your need. I have a tiny USB-C card reader that I keep in my truck. If I want the video, I pop the microSD out and put it in the adapter, copy the file to my phone in seconds, and put it back in the camera. I don't mind the extra steps for the speed.
I bought some of the refurbished ones and they work great. This is one of my favorite dash cams. Got one for my kid, wife, and mother. Video came in handy once with a crash in front of me. That's why I bought them all one.

$100 and only one channel with no back cam? Is that not needed!
Sure, more cameras the better, but you have to consider cost, and the difficulty of wiring the rear camera to the front. The front camera is the most useful one because most accidents involve frontal or side collisions. Even if you are rear ended the front camera alone can prove that you were not at fault. Get a 2- or 3-channel dash cam if you can afford it. If not, this is a great place to start for under $100.
They all fail. They're in hot vehicles and direct sunlight for months on end. The key is to get one that has the features and quality you need, when you need it. Because odds are, you'll need it.
I agree. I posted this deal because this particular brand is considered one of the most reliable on the market. There is literally no report of this failing in normal use. Should it fail after 2-3 yrs, replacing it wont break the bank. Until then you will have a very good reliable video.

Researching this model... Sounds like they don't even have the obd power option and I don't want to tap wiring harness .. anyone have a decent dashcam with features similar to this one that utilizes the obd port power option on a newer car?
Any OBD power adapter will work with this dash cam as long as it has a USB-C connection. You don't need a brand-specific one to make the dash cam work.
If your Accord does not work with any OBD adapter, then the problem is the car, not the dash cam. You should consider getting a USB-C Power Bank to run the dash cam in parking mode. Check out the best options here[androidcentral.com].

I have the previous model and it sucks for downloading video over the air. It also says it is 4k, but it is not. Hope this one is better on downloading files...
Yes, the previous version only had 2.4 GHz WiFi. This one has 5 GHz and should be a more reliable connection. One poster says it is not any faster, and I believe him.
This makes no sense. So, you'd prefer to pay $50 for a hardwire kit if the camera cost $500, just because it is only 10% of the camera's cost? The list price of this camera is $160, which makes the cost of the kit < 19% of the camera's cost. Do you feel better now?
Link to a cheaper hardwire kit if you can. Don't complain about the price of the kit because the camera is too cheap.
Not sure why you have your panties all bunched up, I guess you want your rep points? I just pointed out the hardwire kit to someone else and gave them the FYI that the hardwire kits is 1/3 of the camera's price, that's all.
That guy specifically said he did not want to hardwire to his car, and asked for an OBD adapter. You responded with a hardwire option and then complained about its price. Learn to read.
Yeah, I just re-read that and he did say he didn't want to tap. I didn't complain about the price, just pointed out the price. Your response is defensive in nature and blown out of proportion. Cya!

I looked at this and like others are saying fake 4k or just too expensive Bought azdome M17 from amazon 1080 on sale for 20$ good enough to record and is clear not a license plate reader none are when cars are in motion but he said she said case I have a recording if needed. If it dies in a year 20 bucks well spent.
to the person who gives a thumb down u dont even own a dash cam so u have no right
I've been researching dash cams for a couple of days now, and this ain't it. From the looks of it, the Viofo V119 mini 2 which has the newer sony starvis 2 sensor would be your best bet near this price range.

Where are you located in terms of weather? The summer temperatures where I live are regularly over a hundred. I can't imagine it's surviving in that weather, when the incar temperatures are 150° plus
