For light loads and 120 vac I use a hand carry inverter gen for about the same price. With a pairing kit thats 4400 clean running watts. For a conventional I will hold out for 240 vac. and a larger engine >350 cc. then its usable for heating and water pumping. I got 7500 running watts with remote electric start for $535 from Amazon in May.
