100%. After a 2 hour hour hike or even after a 10k, I need a cliff bar. A kirkland protein bar not only gives me stomach issues but lacks what I need after a long workout.
This anti sugar mentality is a bit cult-ish. Like yes if you're barely doing above your BMR, you should probably take better of yourself. But even then if you calculate your calories accordingly it honestly doesn't matter at the end of the day.
It's really simple calories in and calories out. No fads or anything else required.
