In regards to the IPS vs VA debate, I've found that most of the best gaming monitors are VA panels. They have better contrast for the most part and can hold their own in terms of refresh rate and HDR. For mid tier gaming monitors in the $200-400 price range, I actually prefer VA over IPS

I saw some in store today. Debating this monitor or the Acer 27" from Costco. Leaning toward the Acer though.

Same, was going to pick up the Acer today but had other stuff pop up so could not get out there, will try tomorrow. A 32" would be nice but I like the ability to flip the screen vertically that the Acer has.

Yeah this doesn't have the best reviews if you dig into it. Sounds like not as bright and more va smear.

I have had VA and IPS. I'm fact I had a cheap IPS panel heavy to nice VA panels and cooling never get them to look as nice as the IPS to me. I can't go back to VA as color pop on ips is too significant to my eyes personality. when you use it for multi purpose not just gaming its hard got me to overlook. That's all personal though.

Really? VA has much higher contrast ratio than IPS.

27-32 inch is the ideal size for 2K monitors. You'll be sitting close enough to the screen to notice how much sharper it is than 1080p, but this distance is also a bit overkill for 4K. 2K is the happy medium

I have a 3 year old ultra gear 32inch 144 panel but my stand is adjustable. Was thinking about grabbing this and flipping my current one to the secondary screen. The reviews on this look bad though. I guess I will wait for a Dell or Samsung 32 in this class.
