They ran this promo back in May and I missed the offer. I believe this is the one of the best, if not the best bonus offer for this specific card.

They expire 12 months from the time you get the free nights. I got them in my account from last bonus on 8/4/23 and they expire 8/4/24
recommend looking places you want to go first, then decide if the card is right for you.
It's hard to get a room at a decent property domestically for 50k. Handful of real options.
wow.. how many points do you guys have to think that 50K night certificates are hard to redeem... Five 50K certificates is hands down better than 100K points... I'm having a hard time figuring out why 100K pts would be better unless you ONLY stay at Ritz Carltons or All Inclusives for 1 night.
A typical free night certificate from most credit cards is only 35K pts/night. 50K/night certificates, and they give you five is pretty amazing...

I already got this offer last time so am planning to open one under wife's name. Does anyone know if there would be an issue if I enter my own Bonvoy# on the application or if that would be a problem since I got the offer with the same Bonvoy# from before? FYI, I still have a Chase Bonvoy card under my name linked to my Bonvoy#. Thanks!
Other then both the Amex and Chase offers state bonuses are only valid on Bonvoy accounts that have not received bonuses. So if you apply and don't get the bonus. Credit card company will say tough luck. The bonus offer only applies if it is valid to you. So you need a new Bonvoy account.
Which is counter productive if you're trying to reach lifetime status. But word on the street Hyatt is the way to go if you want hotel perks for status. Marriott went downhill when they cancelled lifetime Titanium.
"Cheap hotels"? I pulled up a search for next week in DC, and you can stay at either the Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis or JW Marriott for 57,000 points/night (and these certs allow you to add points up to 65k/night). Virtually everything else is well under 50k.
When it comes to searching for rates, some people must be either lazy, or incompetent. Are you going to be able to stay at a 5-star resort on the busiest week of the year? Of course not. But the amount of complaining about how these certs 'aren't usable' is ridiculous.
Yeah I'm not understanding where these people are searching where they can't find a nice Marriott to stay at for under 50,000 points let alone 65,000 if you buy points. A quick search in Miami, New York, and LA and I was easily able to find very nice selections.
Just as earlier I had to correct you when you claimed you can't top off beyond the point value on the certs.
Here it is again since I guess you forgot? (bold added)

Does anyone have both one of the Chase cards and a business card? That combo is the only one that allows the cardholder to get both annual elite night credits.
You claim that the chase personal card and a business one is "the only one" that allows both elite credits to post.
That is not factually correct.
ANY personal bonvoy card (chase or Amex) and ANY business bonvoy card (chase or amex) allow that.
If you hold multiples of both personal and business you only get ONE credit on each side of personal/biz, but you get the "best" one available to you for each.

Anyway, do you have both? I'd like to hear first hand from someone that has done this rather than rumor.
Of course.
In fact I can use my own example to demonstrate both principles.
This year I got 40 elite nights, because I held the Amex Brilliant Bonvoy card (25 elite nights) and I hold a Chase Bonvoy business card (15 elite nights).
I ALSO hold a personal chase bonvoy card (15 elite nights) where before I got the Amex I received 30 total a year (15 personal and 15 business).... but did NOT get those the last 2 years because I instead got the better 25 nights from the amex one I'd since opened.
Recently I've closed the Amex card because they jacked the annual fee $200 without adding significant value so it's no longer worth holding--- thus next year I'll "only" get 30 elite nights as on the personal side it'll drop back to the chase card with only 15 on that side plus the 15 on the business side.
All THAT said- the value of platinum is not near as good as it once was, so I'm not really going to miss being able to organically earn plat status via starting with 40 out of 50 nights each year anyway--- quite a lot of discussion over on flyertalk about how low the rate of suite night awards (the "best" choice award for earning platinum organically) has gotten in most countries. At 450 the Amex Brilliant offered good value... (as say the Hilton Aspire still does at 450).... but at 650 it's kinda nuts and only maybe vaguely makes sense if you've also got the RC card and are sure you'll annually have a great use for 2 (and only 2) nights at 85k-100k points.
All of my desired dates in Royal Hawaiin are showing 58k points, so how would the free certificate work?
You would only be able to use the free certs if you had extra 8k points per night available in your account to "top" off redeeming the nights you wanted

Can points be purchased, or can cash be added? Contemplating applying for this.

You can't top off certs with cash, only with points.
You can get points by buying them, by "earning" them via marriott credit card spend, and via signup bonuses on marriott cards that offer points as their bonus. You can also transfer them from flexible rewards programs like Chase or Amex (though this is usually bad value, even when they run a transfer bonus, because of much more value you can get out of say Chase points than Marriott points)- Also there's various affiliate linking to earn you points but those won't be terribly substantial.
It's normally $12.50 per 1000 points to buy (a poor value compared to typical redemption value of points unless you have a specific booking in mind or for top off purposes like you are doing)- but they run promos fairly often (currently up to 35%- but it was 50% last month) https://onemileatatime.com/deals/...oy-points/

Was your promo 3 nights. 50k per night?
You can buy points or you can transfer points from your Chase Sapphire URs or Amex MRs cards to Marriott. But I don't believe you can add cash on top.
