They ran this promo back in May and I missed the offer. I believe this is the one of the best, if not the best bonus offer for this specific card.

They expire 12 months from the time you get the free nights. I got them in my account from last bonus on 8/4/23 and they expire 8/4/24
recommend looking places you want to go first, then decide if the card is right for you.
It's hard to get a room at a decent property domestically for 50k. Handful of real options.
wow.. how many points do you guys have to think that 50K night certificates are hard to redeem... Five 50K certificates is hands down better than 100K points... I'm having a hard time figuring out why 100K pts would be better unless you ONLY stay at Ritz Carltons or All Inclusives for 1 night.
A typical free night certificate from most credit cards is only 35K pts/night. 50K/night certificates, and they give you five is pretty amazing...

Applied and approved on 8/18. I messaged them asking to expediate my card and I got it today. Taking a 2 week European vacation next week, so we'll put all our spend on it.
So I actually got 2 cards in the mail. I guess they got confused when I asked to expediate the card and that triggered a replacement card in addition to the original card I was supposed to get. The cards have the same number and 3 digit code, so I assume I can use either or use them interchangeably, correct?
1 - Wait for a 150k points offer vs this 5 x 50K points per night certificate.
2 - This is a great offer with 5 x 50k points certificates compared to 150K offer.
Can people, who have this card and availed one of the above offers please chime in? I would like to join, but can wait of 150k offer is deemed better..

150K offer is better if:
you rarely travel and do not want or expect to travel in the next year or so. The certiicates do expire within a year and points don't really expire unless there is no activity, but that is easy to remedy.. any purchase on your bonvoy credit card will keep your points going.. even buying a coffee once a year.

You stay at lower end properties. Ok, lower end seems derogatory but I should say lower cost (in points) properties. Personally, I LOVE properties like AC, Aloft, Element, etc... I prefer a lot of those properties to older Westins and the like. Older Westins should generally be over 30K/night but AC's and Alofts may only be around 20K/night or even less if lucky. 5 nights at 20K would only cost 80K points (because of 5th night free). With 150K points, you're possibly getting MORE nights at lower end properties.
For everybody else, five 50K certificates is better. If you don't stay at those types of properties I just listed or similar, 150K is only going to get you 5 nights at a 38K property. While everybody in this thread is complaining about never being able to redeem 50K certificates (don't listen to them), it's going to be even more difficult redeeming 5 nights at 38K...
Personally, I think the five night 50K/night is the best hotel promo out there for ANY credit card or ANY hotel loyalty program as you get to stay at nicer hotels or hotels is more expesnive locations... I don't think any Hyatt or Hilton promo is close to what this one offers especially at this annual fee price point.

Yes, Chase doesn't expedite the card, but they send you another card with expedited mail. So both cards are working cards, you can keep both or shred one of them if you don't need
This may be a dumb question but, the hotel I'm looking at wants 52k/night. Could I still use those certifications + some cash out of pocket or is it a dud? Thanks guys!

Chase is known to be really slow with card applications. Slow to give you a decision, slow to send you the card, slow to pick up their phones.
My experience is the opposite. Always approved instantly and my card came in less than a week and I got them to expediate a card in a few days. Citi on the other hand took over a week to get me my Custom Cash card.

You can top up your Free Night Certificates with up to 15K Bonvoy points per night, so essentially the max you can redeem with these 50K night certificates is 65K.
Given you have to spend $5K to get these bonus free night awards you'll definitely have an extra 2K points lying around to top up that 52K point night. With Marriott though you have to be wary that they have dynamic pricing which means those points can go up/down any day.
Thanks, OP. I just applied and approved for this card. I had to temporarily unfreeze my credit reports for them to validate and confirm. And for those who thought it was a "soft" pull against your credit, you were incorrect. It was in fact a HARD pull against my credit report. Which can be an issue for some... was/is annoying if you ask me.
Literally got a notice from credit karma and logged in to check... Transunion score got hit by 5 pts.!! Unreal if you ask me.. I'm still above the 800 mark, but extremely annoying.

It says every $5K spent gets an additional elite night, so I wonder if the initial spend requirement counts.
You must only be looking at Ritz Carlton in high demand areas for this to be true.

Yes it does.

See I'm looking at going in October and all nights are over 55k each. Some nights are 63k which is MORE than the Ritz in the area.
