do yourself a favor and get a better screen, 250-nits, 45% NTSC, that is what you will be looking at, not a bad price however

BEWARE.

I have a slightly older version of this laptop (16GB) and the right shift key is a killer and it's not obvious. It's too small and if you use another keyboard most of the time you will be constantly frustrated. This is a super cheap build and likely should be thought of as an occasional use computer or a backup.

Thanks for mentioning this, missing usb c would be a deal breaker for me. I did see on the gateway website Q&A that the USB c port is " fully functioning and can handle charging the laptop"

While I agree with the sentament, I think all usb-c that support "power delivery" can be used to charge the laptop.
Gaming laptops of course need a very beefy usb-c charger, but this seems like it would charge fine with small usb-c chargers.
I'm glad the Gateway brand is around, even if it is just a cheap Chinese re-brand label now.
