Edit: Wohoo!! I managed to get best buy to price match it. It took 3-4 hours chatting with different representatives until one finally budged and gave me the price match of $512! Funny thing is I almost gave up before the last rep said they'd match it. Out of stock in my local town so I drove an hour away to a neighbor state to pick it up. My advice to anyone: keep asking new best buy chat reps. Don't get discouraged. Persistence is key. Good luck!

I got the $512 price and picked it up around lunch. Just tried to contact them again about getting the $100 off, but they said since it's OOS they can't do. Bummer there is no more stores at $512.97 before the $100 off.

Being patient is the key. Checking the in-store price every one or two days until it drops to $600 range. Buying at your local Costco is better than playing the price match game with Bestbuy. I hunted my TV since July and sealed the deal on 08/18, before this thread was posted.

After this, I think it is safe to say Best Buy will be updating their price match policy in regards to Costco. Also, I asked my local store if they would price match based on another customer's order number or receipt. The manager said they only price match to local Costco stores and for a price difference this big, no manager would approve the match since the decision is effectively entirely at their discretion.

This is a good time to remind people to setup keyword/keyphrase alerts through Slickdeals. I remember missing out on the LG G1 for $1K (BB) last year and swore I wouldn't miss another OLED deal.

They are definitely not doing it anymore even with a order #. I'm connected with an individual who is named the same name that a SD member had earlier who approved him and he will not budge with me. He even mentioned upper management has stated to not approve it.
