Edit: Wohoo!! I managed to get best buy to price match it. It took 3-4 hours chatting with different representatives until one finally budged and gave me the price match of $512! Funny thing is I almost gave up before the last rep said they'd match it. Out of stock in my local town so I drove an hour away to a neighbor state to pick it up. My advice to anyone: keep asking new best buy chat reps. Don't get discouraged. Persistence is key. Good luck!

For this deal unsurprisingly got "Item is currently unavailable at your selected delivery address"
I never received a confirmation email after paying. I look at my credit card and it was charged and then refunded. I call Best buy spend an hour on the phone with them, after they transfer me to someone who can take care of it. She asked for a callback number " in case we get disconnected " at the start of the conversation. Well, guess what, she put me on hold and hung up and didn't call me back.
Almost gave up at this point, but I decided to go back to the chat. I was transferred to a "specialist" in the chat after explaining the situation. He very slowly worked with me, had me copy and paste the entire chat transcript in which the previous agent approved the price match. He then tried telling me to buy it for regular price and then give him the order number so he can issue a refund. I refused and told him that I don't feel comfortable doing that because I can't guarantee I will get a refund. He said no problem I will send you an invoice with the price match and you have to submit the payment on your own (literally the same thing they did to me yesterday that ended up not working). I told him sure as long as he stays in the chat and confirms an order number and I receive a receipt as soon as I place the order. Well after another 20 mins of "checking availability" he finally send me the link to the invoice and I paid the exact same way as yesterday. As soon as I submitted the payment he sent me a Order number and Case ID number in the chat, and I also received an email confirmation with receipt.
Moral of the story: Always take screen shots and save the chat transcript. These companies - even Best Buy - will try to pull some shady shit.
Now I will go pick it up at the store this evening. Hopefully I get no pushback there, but this time I have an order number, a confirmation email with receipt, screenshots, and chat transcript in case they give me trouble when picking up.
