Dang. It's always Costco with deals.

Edit: Wohoo!! I managed to get best buy to price match it. It took 3-4 hours chatting with different representatives until one finally budged and gave me the price match of $512! Funny thing is I almost gave up before the last rep said they'd match it. Out of stock in my local town so I drove an hour away to a neighbor state to pick it up. My advice to anyone: keep asking new best buy chat reps. Don't get discouraged. Persistence is key. Good luck!

Anyone have a zip code with it showing the sale price? That's the only way they'll do the transaction. They want to make sure the model number is correct and then they'll price match it.

It's story time.

I decide to price match since I had a BB gift card I wanted to use and order the tv using the costco link while it was in stock for $612.97. BB agent gives some pushback but I persevere and he can only do refund approved 24h after purchasing for full price. Mistake 1: I accept.

Next day, no refund and after looking through this thread and see other locations have it for $512.97. I reach out to a new agent and her name is Love. She is the best; she asks what the costco price is and doesn't need a link. She sees that I already have an order and will update the price match to the new costco price for me. Mistake 2: Not requesting for/knowing to start a new order via purchase link

Mistake 2.5: I get it delivered because I live on the second floor and no one to help carry it that day. Also did not think it would fit in my car. Spoiler... it did

Day after, and still no refund. BB notices the deal and give out mass denials for people trying to order today and mentally ready to cancel delivery if price match is denied. Instead, I get an email saying the difference was credited. A quick chat to sales confirms the credit for total cost of $512.97+tax.

The day of delivery, I get called for a 13h shift and have to postpone delivery to next day while requesting for a morning delivery if they can (not on them to guarantee). Next day comes and new time is for afternoon Frown. I step out for 1h due to prior commitments and will be gone for 30 minutes during the beginning of the 4h delivery window. 10 minutes after I step out the delivery driver calls saying he will be there right at the start of the 4h window. He cannot delay my delivery to fulfill others first as I am his last delivery. So I request an instore pick up and will deal with the consequences of fitting it in my car and carrying it upstairs. Agent says the best buy 1 mile from me doesn't exist and wants me to drive across the city to pick up when the nearest has stock. It takes a while but we "find" my closest best buy does exist.

I pick up the order fine and get crafty to bring it home only to see BB credited 20% of the original difference for the price match so I still pay over 1k. After spending time with 4 agents as to why they cannot give a clear explanation on an approved price match, they don't know either and say they can't fix it. After checking with my bank, there is no refund so at this point I give up. Bank agent tells me I was also double charged on the TV. Mistake 3: Being unlucky

Well, back it goes and I reverse crafty it back to the store. As I am returning it, the customer service agent was sympathetic to my woes and manager was going to do me a solid and price match even though it is out of stock at costco. However, the manager sees some notice from upper management and punishment was severe enough to backpedal on the solid so return it is. They can't do anything about the double charge instore though and recommend a charge back. Mistake 4: Being double unlucky

Now stuck with the apple tv from the other deal and no TV.

Needed a 15/20 roll to get the slickdeal; rolled a 14.
Lessons learned: Get an order link and pick it up ASAP.
Lessons retained: Costco > best buy, I'm addicted to deals

I did the pm at bestbuy Sunday and picked up immediately Monday morning. I don't know how some got it for $400. I paid $512.97 for the 55". If it's any consolation to anyone who missed out, I don't think imo that it's the "best" tv. It's good for HDR, SDR is too dim for me. I'm positive a slick deal will come out for a better tv 👍

I'm considering getting the C2 but have a few questions. We only watch Netflix (standards) and YouTube TV for sports.
Should I bother upgrading or stick with my current tcl 4k tv. Any advice would be appreciated.
I also don't want to upgrade to a 4k Netflix plan so would the C2 give me better/detailed pictures with the standard plan?

it'll be a bit better for sports due to better processing and will have much better color accuracy and blacks, it's a better tv than any tcl but if you're happy with what you have then no need to upgrade yet

This was my chat rep. She was awesome! She didn't even look at the link and asked me what price I saw haha. Did the invoice method and picked up a few hours after in store for $412.97

Make sure to turn off ECO power settings, they're set to "on" by default and can make the tv seem really dim

Sorry to hear but you did really roll the dice alot lol. If it helps, the double charge is because of the switch to pickup from delivery. For some reason, sometimes system thinks you bought 2.

Does anyone have experience with price matching at a Costco that doesn't have the tv discounted? I'd like to try. Would i need a copy of receipt from another store?
