Edit: Wohoo!! I managed to get best buy to price match it. It took 3-4 hours chatting with different representatives until one finally budged and gave me the price match of $512! Funny thing is I almost gave up before the last rep said they'd match it. Out of stock in my local town so I drove an hour away to a neighbor state to pick it up. My advice to anyone: keep asking new best buy chat reps. Don't get discouraged. Persistence is key. Good luck!

The price is $999.97 (or higher), but I saw in the computer with a manager that they're supposed to go down to $599.97 on Sept. 4.
Buy now & hold until after that date and they may credit the difference.
If not, you can always return unopened for a refund.
I got these locations/quantities on Monday night.
They're probably not 100% accurate as of today, but they all had 4 or more, so a decent chance they'll still have a couple left.
Try calling to confirm before you head out.
If they say they have one left, it's the display model.

Yes, it's very likely.
Problem is, there's very few left in stock anywhere.
When I checked with a manager on Monday for availability, some stores already dropped down to $999.97 with no stock left.
Inglewood, Victorville, La Quinta and SW Bakersfield are examples (SW Bakersfield was the exception with 6 left).
Remaining stores should follow, though no guarantee.
You can always call a manager in your local store and ask if there's any around you.
Most managers are very helpful.

Lessons learned. Best Buy will not honor the price match & switched the amount credited. Shady bastards. Will from now-on get an order page for future price matches. Careful out there..
I "may" have been able to get the price match if I picked up immediately in-store after price match, but since I waited to pick up, looks like they waited until that day to process PM to current value of TV.
