And I think usually said person would sell the older phone and use the new one til it unlocked. The old phone sale would pretty much cover the cost of the new bundle, and this could be done in perpetuity if successful, by repeating this every time a new Tracfone bundle deal like this came along.
It seemed like it was hit or miss depending on the CSR. Tracfone terms someplace say you can't do it but some CSRs would do it if you played your cards right.

In case I misunderstood what you wanted to do, you don't have to move the service back to your old phone, but by keeping your number during activation, you current service will get combined with your new service bundle, and will go to the new phone. What you do after that is up to you.

Check a site like GSMArena and expand the network section. It tells you the A23 is differentiated by an international model and a USA model. (There's also a dual sim model but based on past phones that's also international only.)
So there's only one USA model and it can be purchased either unlocked or locked to one of the carriers. They all get the same hardware.

Why is it so much higher than posted price?
If the service is for only this phone, and is a physical sim, is it possible to gift the sim to a family member? or is that against tracfone terms of service, and they will end up
terminating it or something?
Second question i had, since this has esim and traditional sim, does it serve as a dual sim phone? Can i have 2 different service plans from different companies and switch
back and forth bewteen them at will?
Also, for the unlock, after 2 months the phone will just auto unlock? or must i go into settings and request it, or contact a trac rep?

This is a single pSIM phone. Just one nano-sim only. No esim.
