I believe you can remove the silicon and it'll be just metal tongs.

Apparently this has a "pull-ring lock sestym." I'm unfamiliar with the word "sestym" but you learn new things all the time, right? Apparently the dictionary is also unfamiliar with "sestym," though. Perhaps tong technology is just moving too fast to keep up.

I guess we'll have to ask "CFNY Trading" as this isn't sold by Amazon.
