Purchased the "open box - excellent condition" unit available for $750. $20 more gets it here Friday. No tax in Oregon. Seems like incredible value especially with the 99whr battery, Thunderbolt 4, latest wifi chip, two nvm and ddr5 slots. Wish the screen was brighter, the keyboard/trackpad were slightly better, and the GPU a 4060.

How could it be 4060 when it says 4050 on the listing/specs? Wishful thinking, perhaps?
But in general, isn't an "open box" purchase risky, could mean anything, and probably worse than "certified refurbished" -- which I don't buy either because there's a chance it failed quality control, there's a flaw in that model, and/or the previous purchaser couldn't get it to work?
I think people see this-"45% NTSC" and they thumbs down the post. I wouldn't go so far as to thumbs down it, but I'll pass. 8GB and suspect display is something I'd have to pass on.
