Most people sit way too far from their TVs to have optimal viewing. Money aside, many would actually be better off with a screen this size. A screen this size should be about 6-12.5 ft. from a person's eyes. At 6 feet it will still be viewable, but it's will be kind of like IMAX where you have to look around a bit.
Let's get the jokes out the way: This TV isn't meant for your home. This TV is for commercial usage. posted by the reception area or in a board room/conference room.
98'' is way too damn big and it's only a LCD. You'd need to truly have a large room with great seating. Why waste space and home energy? At that rate, may as well just get a great projector....
I agree on the projector comment but come on now, too big is only limited by your wall space, haha. Unless you're physically moving your head to see different parts of the screen, I say you're good to go, bigger the better!
Finally time to get rid of my 36" Sony flat tube with something big enough to see in my studio apartment in the basement of the local shoe store. Price is right too
98 inch where do you put it. I am getting rid of my 65 since can not fit it anywhere ! 98 inch. I guess you buy it first and then make a building around it.
If I was considering a 110" projector for a small home theater, this might be a great alternative. For what you lose in size, you easily get back in brightness and PQ unless you were going really high end on a projector.

Yeah I'd love to drop $3K on a BenQ HT4550i to upgrade my W1070, but not if 98's are going to be commonly under $5000 in the next year or two.

No disrespect, but I think you're missing the point. This TV is a projector replacement. Is it going to look as good as an OLED, no. However, you will not find a projector for under 20k that can outperform this TV. How many projectors do you think can hit that many nits? How many projectors do you think support Dolby vision? If you don't want a projector with bigger than a 100 screen, why wouldn't you go in this direction.
