Who here wants to tell the kid about "The Love Bug?"
Agreed. People who like Secretariat, might also like the documentary Harry & Snowman &/or the book The Eighty-Dollar Champion: Snowman, The Horse That Inspired a Nation by Elizabeth Letts

Shoot, I feel like "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" and "Blazing Saddles" are formative movies for me and there's still "only" a decade difference between their release for me vs OP.
Absolutely no shade intended toward anyone, but even "The Love Bug" has always felt ancient to me with that added decade. And for what it's worth, I still quite like the '60's and genuinely consider The Beatles among my top musical groups both for listening and influence.
Great deals are born from great opportunity. And that's what we have here tonight, boys. That's what we've earned here tonight. One deal. If we saw this deal ten times, we might skip it nine. But not this deal. Not tonight.
I love this movie. Russell killed it. I never upgraded my DVD to the blu-ray version, so I went with this for convenience. I can put my DVD in storage.

Miracle is absolutely a great movie, a throwback to the days when athletes were proud to represent the USA at the Olympics and a great thrill. I remember the days of the gas lines and severe inflation - the hockey team win at Lake Placid was such a lift - and I don't even LIKE hockey - this movie made me love it! My heart raced during the intensive game scenes. And who doesn't like Kurt Russell! My son says this is one of his ten favorite movies of all times.
But despite all the hockey, it's not really about hockey. it is about a man who had a vision and the defiance of how to make an underdog team work together to beat the unbeatable instead of folding to the establishment to hire a bunch of superstars. Done so, so well. Realyl a feel good movie, but not too Disneyfied.

And as others said, Secretariat is also fantastic.
