Beware there are no Linux kernel drivers for the hardware in this machine, so you're stuck with windows for now. You won't have Wi-Fi, and can't have Wi-Fi, until that gets updated.

Just go into settings\recovery\reset and click on "reset this PC". Choose the option to remove everything and let it reinstall. It will use the same key.

I have 3 of these machine for the office, they work tremendously well for it. Office/Excel/Browser. Super fast and clean, just BE AWARE to re-install windows.

These machine comes with a default windows 11/10 but there is a software that comes with it, that you can see it under START UP services. I forgot the name but please make sure you reinstall windows.

The power supply is similar to a laptop's. To me it makes zero sense to do what you are suggesting. This machine is basically the innards of a cheap laptop squeezed into a 4x4" box. Add a screen and a keyboard and you essentially have a laptop. So why not buy a laptop?

I firmly believe that most people who buy a mini pc would be better served by something else. It's a rare situation that you have very limited space to place a processing unit. People go to strange lengths to make mini pcs work for them, but the problems they are solving have already been solved elsewhere. For instance, I see people who add external GPUs so they can play AAA games. Had they opted for a bigger form factor they could have just installed a graphics card directly on the motherboard. Instead they end up with a heap of electronic spaghetti and meatballs on their desk. It's like they can only think one move at a time.

I am sure 99% of users are not trying to add a EGPU to this. I have 4 notebooks, but guess what? Non of them would make a good server. This guy idles at 5-15 watts and has an extra space for a 2.5 drive. I got a worst version of this for my dad and he loves it as his daily machine attached to his 24 inch monitor

I still recommend a clean Windows install as a good practice (though "clean" doesn't mean much with Windows 11 now, but I digress.)

LMAO I just rolled back 2 of my PCs to Windows 10. Windows 11 is a heaping pile of crap.

Wrong.
If you download the media and do the clean install it will NOT come up as having a valid license.

It's tied to the HW Bios and your MS windows account. I haven't bought a Windows License since Win 7, it just carries over, even with brand new builds.

Tdp doesn't equate performance. N95 and N100 have nearly identical CPU performance but the GPU performance of the N100 is miles better. And you get all that for 1/2 the power consumption.

N100 is better in every way.
I think it's the other way around. I know because I bought the N95 over N100 when both were the same price. I needed transcoding and my research said N95 is marginally better.

These machines can work well for some people and in some roles.

Go over to Reddit r/minipcs and the bulk of the questions there are from people looking for a mini pc to do x, y, or z. Most of the time, x, y, or z would be better performed by a laptop or a larger form factor, but mini pcs are cute, and people can't resist cute. First thought - I want a mini pc. Second thought - can it do what I want.

N100 does not consume 1/2 the power of N95 for the same CPU performance. You are being fooled by the TDP yourself. They are both 10nm dies with the same number of CPU cores and clock speeds. Mini PCs with N100 and N95 both consume about 20W when CPU is fully loaded. TDP is just a guideline for manufacturers to design cooling.

For those unfamiliar with Beelink- we have three i5 8259U, or 8279U with 16GB, 500GB NVEM (very fast drives BTW). They are the SEI 8, and SEI 10 models. My wife has been using one for work for about 2+ years. I have two in my office that don't get lots of use, but haven't had a problem with them. My only issue with Beelink is that tech support really stinks. It's about as bad as it gets. Drivers are only available via Mega.nz. (And to me, that's like them having a hotmail email account.) Fortunately I have only ever had a single question (they advertised a Type-C port, but it wasn't good for anything but PD on one machine, and they conveniently left that out of the listing).

I bought one of their Ryzen machines a few years ago, but it had a problem and I had to return it (I can't remember which one or what the problem was). I never bought another of those.

If you want to run Linux on this such as Ubuntu or Debian, upgrade to Linux Kernel 6.4 and then install the AX101 drivers. Both BT + WIFI will work.

For all who are uninvolved, Debian Bookworm (latest version) takes care of all this.

The problem is not Linux. The problem is Intel and they are behind on providing the microcode to globally support their hardware. If Linus and team are provided microcode guidelines they patch kernels fast (nightly builds as you know).
Any idea if this could run pfSense CE , based on BSD? I am thinking of replacing my CradlePoint MBR1200. Do not need Wi-Fi or BT. BUT DO NEED USB LTE4 Modem support as that is my internet gateway. NVM, found my answer on another page in this threed

It can run yes, but the AX101 module is not fully supported from a driver perspective yet so you would not be able to enjoy the WiFi and Bluetooth just yet.

The Eth port will be ok.

It can't be. The N100 has more execution units. It is faster for transcoding.
