Beware there are no Linux kernel drivers for the hardware in this machine, so you're stuck with windows for now. You won't have Wi-Fi, and can't have Wi-Fi, until that gets updated.

Just go into settings\recovery\reset and click on "reset this PC". Choose the option to remove everything and let it reinstall. It will use the same key.

I have 3 of these machine for the office, they work tremendously well for it. Office/Excel/Browser. Super fast and clean, just BE AWARE to re-install windows.

These machine comes with a default windows 11/10 but there is a software that comes with it, that you can see it under START UP services. I forgot the name but please make sure you reinstall windows.

The NVME interface built into the chipset is a 3x interface, and I believe it's limited to 2x speeds, so in theory with a top of the line 3x2 NVME interface you can expect peak speeds of about 1600mbps. In reality with a more off the shelf NVME drive, I'd expect closer to 900mbps. Intel had to make some limitations into the chipset to force you to the 12/13th gen platform for power users.
It's actually 1x, sadly. I used HWInfo to check. It's reading around 700mbps, and writing similarly. Again, no complaints for the price. Also, no USBC/TB ports, which I must have overlooked. It outputs 4k fine, but I don't game - just watching YouTube.

How long did it take Beelink support to reply your request for Win11 key?
They were quick. They acknowledged the support request the next day and then provided the key a day later, so around two days. Just make sure to check your spam folder, while support responded back through the Beelink email address, the product key came from an account from qq.com

This doesn't have an optical output; currently I am connecting my home theater PC to a receiver via Optical cable; (it's a very old receiver and doesn't have HDMI input)

My question: Is there a way to use optical cable to connect this mini PC to my receiver, TIA.
They have hdmi tos cable breakouts but you should spend the money to get a new receiver with arc support. Its so much better.

It does include a VESA mount but these things are simple enough that you can use mounting tape in my experience if your monitor doesn't have a dedicated vesa mounting area.

I love BeeLilnk stuff, but I hate their CPU fan. When it goes bad, you need to punt the entire device. Beelink won't sell you new ones and I can't find a matching part anywhere. That said I only had 2 in 50 go bad, but man it's super wasteful.

There are no wifi drivers for Linux OS. This should be solved with the 6.4 or 6.5 kernel.

I don't think Beelink actually makes the machines (which would explain why they don't sell replacement parts). If you look at the mini PC hardware, most sellers appear to be OEMing from the same manufacturers and just slapping their brand on top. Even the setup warning stickers are the same.

and explains why you should not expect to receive any aftermarket support other than maybe a one off windows image/license

The power supply is similar to a laptop's. To me it makes zero sense to do what you are suggesting. This machine is basically the innards of a cheap laptop squeezed into a 4x4" box. Add a screen and a keyboard and you essentially have a laptop. So why not buy a laptop?

I firmly believe that most people who buy a mini pc would be better served by something else. It's a rare situation that you have very limited space to place a processing unit. People go to strange lengths to make mini pcs work for them, but the problems they are solving have already been solved elsewhere. For instance, I see people who add external GPUs so they can play AAA games. Had they opted for a bigger form factor they could have just installed a graphics card directly on the motherboard. Instead they end up with a heap of electronic spaghetti and meatballs on their desk. It's like they can only think one move at a time.
Mini PC work well as power efficient basic computers. SO good for simple setups and mini servers. It also might help with the power bill. You could also have an external GPU for gaming, but get to save some power when it is not needed. Not the best example as I think the savings would be minimal, but the numbers would be fun. IT is also a good way to make it easy to portable. You can have a GPU at home, but the PC you can take with you when you travel. Monitor is an issue, but there are light ways around it etc. Just depends on the needs of the user.

External GPUs can be used as a docking station. So multiple computers might use the video card at different times. This way you don't need powerful gpus in every portable computer. If someone is in the mood to play a highend game they can dock. It also reduce the heat load on the notebook fans.

Anyways that is why they are called personal computers. Each person might have a different use case.

Wonder what the measurements are, I have replaced a few fans. Overall repair parts for most devices are difficult to find in many markets since they are likely produced overseas. I miss the old days or running to local shop looking for a part to complete a repair.

I scrolled through thousands of Alibaba listings thinking I'd find it. Newp.
