Does it typically show full price online? brickseek shows a local store with 35 in stock as "clearance" but when I set the store as my home store on the Home Depot website it shows that they have 27 available for $17.87 (essentially full price).

does the "max" denote something special? i recall in lab testing amazon basics and other store brands perform as well as (non-max?) energizer and are cheap all the time.

Struck out at a Dallas store. They've probably been moved in favor of the gobs of 36-packs all over the front aisle of the store.

They gave me the Double AA 30 pack for $4.53 as it was on the hanger which said $4.53. YMMV

Picked up a few packs of AA and AAA at San Diego Genesse location last week. They are hanging off to the side near self checkout. It says they have something like 300 in stock and there were plenty when I went

Found 4 more packs today while going to HD for normal weekend items. They were up front, where the batteries normally are, near registers, and had a sign that they were marked down to $9.97 or something like that.
