Mids have a lower MSRP and tend to be made of lower quality material than the Highs. They're kind of the base-trim version while the High would be the luxury-trim. That's why they're looked down on by kids who are into the shoes mainly for clout.

mids are readily available at every sneaker store and they regularly go on sale (as seen here).

highs are the ones with the high MSRP and are thus more desirable. obviously certain colorways and collaborations increase rarity and value. but no famous collaborator wants to make a jordan 1 mid... they do 1 lows or 1 highs.

Are these comfortable? I just got my first pair of Boost 350 v2s and those are super comfortable. Don't know why I never tried a pair until the very end of the product line.

I love mids, they're the perfect in-between size and the colorways are usually more interesting. Most people don't even know the difference or care unless they're rich losers or og sneakerheads, and then they can never give a good reason. Even Jordan wears mids.

My teenage nephew is into New balance and air force 1. Loved New balance back in the day but they increased their prices alot. Used to get pairs around $50 or less. For my old myself, currently I'm into slip on shoes, less hassle dealing with laces. Although i would buy a pair of all black Nike Air monarchs if they had my size in stock and if it was discounted. $75 for monarchs is a bit much. Seen non black monarchs under $40 for non black colors
