Warning: this is NOT the same as a Kamodo Joe or Big Green Egg. Not even close. Does not hold heat and temp regulation is not nearly as smooth. This is just an oddly shaped grill.
Word to the wise, save up a little longer, buy a BGE or KJ, get much better cooks and it'll save you money in the long run when this things rusts out. The real brands will not.

My Akorn has held up for 5 years with no signs of rust but I keep it covered and do a good cleaning occasionally. It does take more time to learn how to dial in the temps.

It's also more efficient (saves money on charcoal) and is not as fragile and heavy as its ceramic counterparts.

I like how you can seemingly cook a butt in this. I'm on the hunt for something just a tad bit "bigger" so I can get a few racks of ribs smoking, but I feel this is perfect for camping (or showing up a friend who can't grill)

Roll the ribs up, hold them together with some skewers and stand them up. Should be able to fit 2 or 3 racks in there. That's the only way I smoke my ribs now. Can fit 8 easily on a Big Joe. Cheers

These work nicely until they rust out. Keep it in your garage you might get a decent life span out of it.

Love mine, will cook 5 or 6 big burgers no problem. Super fuel thrifty and heats up really fast. I did get a stainless grill on mine.

Agree with the posts, keep these covered or indoors.

Thanks! I left mine uncovered one night on accident and the bottom ended up rusting out! Purchased a bigger webber style one but I really missed how this one heats up really quick for smaller meals!

Yep. Mine actual grill is rusted out and broke off a section. I can buy a replacement grill from Chargriller. But now the bottom ash container retaining ring is rusted out. Thankfully the hook/latches are still good and hold it up fine.
