Can typical jacks be used in a 1-car garage? I mean from the side, not from the front/rear. I see various opinions of people placing jacks at angles to the car, and realistically in a 1-car garage you would be nearly parallel to the car. I can't seem to find a video of anything like this on Youtube, so I presume it's not possible?

If it's built well that's a very good price.
I need to figure out what oil pan is best asap.
On my Tacoma, I don't need a jack. I just crawl under.
On my Accord, I just jack up one front corner high enough to remove that wheel. It's the easiest way to access the oil filter and drain plug. It's also the best angle to allow the most oil to drain out of the pan on that transverse V6.
I'd go on youtube and watch some people with your same car doing oil changes. Then use your judgement on who's doing it right vs wrong, because you'll see both.

1) Clearance angle. Race Ramps are made for low clearance, racing/sports cars. 10.8 Degree angle of approach vs 17 degree. See here to see how low of a vehicle you can still clear the ramp. https://www.raceramps.c
2) Depending on the model of Race Ramps, you can get a 2 piece so you can remove the ramp for more room when working around the wheels
3) Lift height - Race Ramps have 8" of lift, most Rhino Ramps have 6"
4) They won't slide, scratch, or damage your floors, and won't conduct heat or cold from the surface to your tires, making them a versatile solution in hot or cold weather applications. (Important in racing). Also, see Fritzo's post..it happens more than you think. I've seen others add yoga mats to help with the slip/slide on RhinoRamps. Never seen a race ramp slide.
5) Made in USA
6) Warranty - 1 YR Race Ramp, 90 Days Rhino Ramp
You will see a lot of these at track days. Like most things what are you going to use it for and what do you value.
