The 3 ton is more expensive at 150 but weighs 78 lbs. This one weighs 105. Big difference and you will feel it as well 😀

Something I can't seem to find an answer anywhere online:

Can typical jacks be used in a 1-car garage? I mean from the side, not from the front/rear. I see various opinions of people placing jacks at angles to the car, and realistically in a 1-car garage you would be nearly parallel to the car. I can't seem to find a video of anything like this on Youtube, so I presume it's not possible?
How much distance do YOU have between YOUR car and the Wall. And then Where is the jacking point on Your vehicle? Are you lifting from the frame rails? Then figure you need at least 5 feet.

It is possible and depends on the jack. I definitely need to angle my jack with Daytona.

Agreed that for oil changes, a pair of ramps does the job just as well and is much simpler and faster to setup. I use a $55 Harbor Freight set and have zero complaints.

I would bite on this if I didn't already have a Daytona.

If it's built well that's a very good price.
Just to point out this isn't the same husky jack in the video. This weighs about 30 pounds more than that one

I bought two. I'm going to start doing my own oil. Getting it done at Walmart it become too much of a pain in the ass. My plan for these two Jacks is to jack up both front wheels after putting the emergency brake on and some blocks behind the rear wheel. Then I can get under there and do everything real quick and let the jacks down to make it flat and get the oil out. Then jack back up and get under there again and finish. Pros tell me if there's a flaw in my plan.

I need to figure out what oil pan is best asap.
Pros use a lift or a pit. The flaw in your plan is thinking every car has the same procedure for oil changes.

On my Tacoma, I don't need a jack. I just crawl under.
On my Accord, I just jack up one front corner high enough to remove that wheel. It's the easiest way to access the oil filter and drain plug. It's also the best angle to allow the most oil to drain out of the pan on that transverse V6.

I'd go on youtube and watch some people with your same car doing oil changes. Then use your judgement on who's doing it right vs wrong, because you'll see both.

Why do they cost $300 when the Husky ones are $50? Confused
A few reasons

1) Clearance angle. Race Ramps are made for low clearance, racing/sports cars. 10.8 Degree angle of approach vs 17 degree. See here to see how low of a vehicle you can still clear the ramp. https://www.raceramps.com/ramps/r...roductmore
2) Depending on the model of Race Ramps, you can get a 2 piece so you can remove the ramp for more room when working around the wheels
3) Lift height - Race Ramps have 8" of lift, most Rhino Ramps have 6"
4) They won't slide, scratch, or damage your floors, and won't conduct heat or cold from the surface to your tires, making them a versatile solution in hot or cold weather applications. (Important in racing). Also, see Fritzo's post..it happens more than you think. I've seen others add yoga mats to help with the slip/slide on RhinoRamps. Never seen a race ramp slide.
5) Made in USA
6) Warranty - 1 YR Race Ramp, 90 Days Rhino Ramp

You will see a lot of these at track days. Like most things what are you going to use it for and what do you value.

I'm flashing back to July 2020 when my neighbor decided to do his own oil change during lockdowns. He put ramps on his smooth garage floor, started to drive his jeep up them, and ended up driving the ramps into his wall
I have a couple scrap 2x4s that I put between the ramps and wall to prevent them from sliding forward as I drive up. I also have a 10mm socket hanging from a string at a set point that touches the windshield when it's time to stop.

I was planning on buying the Daytona Super Duty jack just to have a top tier jack that works better than the 25+ year old 2 1/4 ton Harbor Freight one I have now but for 130.00 I couldn't say no to this one.

A jack is only for raising the vehicle to your desired height. You should ALWAYS rest the cars on jack stands. Some people like to leave the jack as a secondary just in case one of the jack stands fail. I've seen several jacks leak and lose pressure in my lifetime. Depending on where you want to work I've used a jack several times in my 1 car garage. Just put it at an angle and get it high enough to shove a jack stand in there.

I have a Pittsburgh 3 ton but it is very close when lifting the front of my camry. Hopefully this fixes that.

I bought that 15 years ago while living in an apartment. That is the only use for it IMO. It leaves too much behind and is a PITA.

How does this compare to Harbor Freight Pittsburgh 3 ton jack? I got it for 109.99 when it was sale last week but haven't used it yet. Is this Husky 3.5 ton jack worth for additional $20?
