My parents are over 90 years old and often forget to do simple things. There are times I use WIFI to shut their garage door. Yes, they I could call them, and they could shut it, but it's much easier doing it my self.

I like it much better than the AM11 simply for the Wifi connection and being able to turn the fan on/off with the Dyson phone app. You can do this remotely too, so you can control your fan anywhere in the world.

I'm from the northeast US and the wildfires that happened in June in Canada affected the air quality where I was. I was on vacation but I was still able to turn on my Dyson purifiers remotely so my parents could benefits.

I'd prefer the tower fan without filter. I think it is AM07. The cost of the filter is a deal breaker.

I owned one. It really work. I have 1 in the living room. Everytime I cook the fan would automatically turn stronger. Also when I was drilled something on the wall in my bedroom, it detected the dust.

Worst fans I've ever bought in my life I have two of them they are terrible when it comes to air flow You have to blast it at least six or higher to get any air 5 ft away from it and I highly suggest the smaller portable version of this for your desk they're great I have four of those but these larger ones for the room I would not buy it ever again

I bought an older model TP02 from urlhasbeenblocked a few years ago, it's comparable to the AM11 being advertised here. The HEPA filter is pretty good, but if you're looking for genuine air filtration your first stop really should be your domestic air conditioning setup. That said, for use in a single small to medium room with only a couple people these units work fine. I originally used my fan in a 715sqft apartment as a fan to orient my position while using a VR headset and it worked flawlessly in that scenario. Now it lives in the gaming room my partner and I have our computers in. I think the remote control and lack of smart functionality is fine, but that's my use-case. Replacement filters can be found online for cheap if you don't want to spend top dollar for genuine replacements.

I have two Dyson fans - AM11 and TP02. AM11 started making winding nose within 6 months of use, and TP02 did the same 1.5 years later. If you want to purchase this just for the looks, you will be okay with it(besides the cheap plastic feels). But functionality/reliability-wise, both units didn't meet my expectations.

I'm still very happy with Dyson Vaccums and hair dryers.

i bought a dyson refurb few weeks ago. it seems to be defective. called Dyson and said no refunds/exchange for refurbs. man, had i known, i would not have bought it. total bs.
so be careful, ppl Frown

--edit--- they do offer exchange (just confirmed; although i prefer refund)

I have bought 4 certified refurbished fans from Dyson via Ebay over the past 5 years.
Fortunately, I have not had any issues with them. I have a mixture of AM11/TPO2 and even a version that heats and cools. No issues. I have been buying 3rd party filters through Amazon and they are typically around $28 or so and need to be replaced once a year based off my normal use.

Also bought 2 Dyson vaccums that were refurbished and are still working well.
The 2 year warranty through Ebay is nice to have in case you do run into any issues.
