I'm from the northeast US and the wildfires that happened in June in Canada affected the air quality where I was. I was on vacation but I was still able to turn on my Dyson purifiers remotely so my parents could benefits.

Smart plugs functions are limited. It may work with mechanical switch devices. Nowadays, many devices have a touch based switch, smart plugs are useless with touch-switch devices.
And unfortunately, a smart plug can not turn on TP02.
Based on my experience, I would never purchase a Dyson brand product again but obviously your mileage may vary.

This was my AllState experience with a pair of refurbished Bose earbuds.
My two Dyson TP02s have worked flawlessly for a year and half. One TP02 is located 5 feet away from my recliner. A 3/10 fan speed works quietly and comfortably. When the fan speed is 4/10 or lower, the noise is unnoticeable.
