I bought this PC new 2 years ago. Paid an absurd price. But it's a good computer. I upgraded the ram to 128GB and added some SSDs. This price just makes me want to cry. Only issue I had was an adata SSD was acting up. Could be heat. Keep eyes on temps.

The graphics card alone is worth the price. So tempted to pull the trigger... the 90 day refurb warranty is what scares me.
Lol. No, the card is absolutely not worth that.

Would actually be interested... if it was a more economical GPU. 1080 and a <$200 GPU are fine for me.

RGB is part of PC gaming culture. Maybe you can turn them off, maybe not. The colors aren't as bright in person, though. They're kinda muted.

A person with a horrible experience only holds so much weight.
True, but the specifics of the experience are worthy of consideration. This review is enough to deter me.

That 120mm AIO is hard to look past. Not seeing a lot of airflow either. 12th gen or newer would be much more ideal. Most of the 'value' of this deal relates to how much you value that 3080, which is a good video card. The price isn't low enough to deal with what looks like a cooling headache.

I built my own PC a couple months ago. Went with the 6750xt for $350 (with 3 fans). 32gb DDR5, 12700k, 240mm aio cooler. Basically super good everything, I think it ended up around $1k.

I kind of wish I had this instead. Benchmarks show the 3080 is so much better. Gotta have that ultimate Hogwarts legacy experience you know?? Lol

Review for this item from the microcenter website:

Willzuh ยท 4 months ago DO NOT BUY.
This thing has been nothing but a $2,300 paper weight. Nothing but problems. I spent that much money expecting a good machine but so far I have put about $600 into fixing it's various issues. The first problem is the AIO/CPU cooler. It is no where near adequate to properly cool the CPU. The CPU temperature would hit 100c just performing simple tasks or playing lightweight games like Minecraft. The CPU would begin to throttle and performance would suffer. I opened it up and applied new thermal paste to see if that would fix the issue. It did not, but I already expected the AIO was the problem given the weird cackling sounds it would sometimes make. So I ended up having to buy a Noctua air cooler and replaced the AIO with that. This involved taking most of the PC apart to get the motherboard out and put in the new mounting bracket for the air cooler. Completely defeated the purpose of buying a prebuilt machine. Anyways, that solved the CPU issue, although the GPU still runs pretty warm on games like GTA due to the horrible air flow this case provides. I don't play games like that very often so I could live with that. A few months go by and eventually my OS corrupted for no reason. Had to do a clean installation of windows and that fixed the issue for a few weeks before it corrupted again. The SSD somehow got messed up. I also had suspicions the motherboard was causing some of the issues I was having, so I ended up replacing both the SSD and the motherboard thinking it would solve the problem. It did for a few months, but now I am once again experiencing various issues that I think may be related to the CPU (Possibly the first few months where the AIO was literally allowing my CPU to fry itsself caused damage?)

Overall, this is a terrible machine. Do not make the mistake I did. I was gullible and bought this thinking it was a strong machine for a great price. It has been nothing but issues and has cost me a ton of money. Build your own PC, because brands like to cut corners on other components (like cooling) to keep the overall price down.

And do not buy MSI. MSI had my brand loyalty for years, but after my experience with this computer, I won't be buying from them ever again. The parts just aren't quality anymore and the customer support is terrible.

DO NOT BUY THIS COMPUTER.
Nah dude, you don't just go replacing the motherboard on a hunch. 11700 runs hot. Along with the 3080. So when you run it full blast it's gonna get hot. Buy more fans and set things up properly, keep your room cool, reinstall Windows on a new SSD if you have to but dont randomly replace your motherboard/CPU just because you have a hunch. Changing clock speed could help too. Put a fan on both sides of the aio cooler.

I think I would take the risk with this PC if I hadn't just built one. The value with the 3080 is there I think.

This pc is using the undersized 120mm aio as the rear exhaust fan. That never works out well for thermals.

Perhaps there are real hardware issues, but I stopped taking this review seriously as soon as he started going on about OS corruption, somehow blaming the hardware for causing this.

Old CPU, old motherboard, old RAM, but that GPU is worth the price for a whole PC if you don't need to be on the cutting edge.
GPU is worth $400 refurb. just yesterday Evga had it's bstock sale where 3080 10gb were $350. it hurts since I bought it for $850 1 year ago. but thats what happens when NVDA screws you over with it's limited vram.
