Looks like the company took DMDM hydantoin out of their formula completely as of Sept 2021.

Going through the Amazon comments, there's a chemical in this shampoo called DMDM hydantoin that can allegedly cause hair loss and may be carcinogenic. There is also currently a pending class action lawsuit against Johnson & Johnson regarding OGX Shampoo because of this.

However, based on the little googling I have done, there may not be much evidence to the claim that DMDM hydantoin does any of that.

Edit: As another user pointed out below, DMDM Hydantoin was removed from this product as of Septemeber 2021.

This is a great deal! I like the smaller size for traveling (its not traveling size, but much easier in checked luggage when it's this size!)

You'll get 1 shampoo and 1 conditioner. I don't know why they would label it a 2-pack like this.

This isn't going to do anything about hair loss, but I like the shampoo because it's thicker and pours slower. A little shampoo goes a long way, and the usual kind pours out too quickly so you use up the bottle much faster than necessary.

About 6 years ago, when my hair started to thin, I looked into thickening shampoo/conditioner and this one came up. Lots of people seemed to enjoy the shampoo/conditioner, but there was always a small subset of people who claimed it may their hair fall out in clumps.

I decided that there were enough people complaining about the shampoo that I should not try it, even a 1% chance of making my hair fall out was just not worth it. Then this lawsuit came up a few years later.
