Have this exact version but from a popular photo/video retailer which I paid $1399 6 months ago. This is a solid deal for what you get performance wise. I upgraded the ram to 32 and added 2 2tb Samsung 990 pro ssd's. It's a beast great frame rates. Getting 150-170 on warzone FSR 1settings.

Do you know what the existing ram is? I'm assuming two 8gb sticks with none soldered on?

Is there an extra spot for an extra hard drive? If so, do you know the max capacity?
According to Lenovo's website, only one slot and it is unsoldered. See page 39 here-> https://download.lenovo.com/consu...ro_hmm.pdf
However, the replacement ram is very expensive and 16GB looks to be the maximum amount as far as I can tell. See here-> https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/legion-series/legion-5-pro-16iah7h/... [lenovo.com]

That's bizarre, I just upgraded my 5800H version to 64gb of ram and it had 2 slots. A "Pro" version having only one chip replaceable and 1 soldered doesn't make any sense to me. Can anyone who owns confirm?

Example? I searched for "lenovo legion" here and no recent lenovo.com deals that would beat this in terms of frames. 4070 without frame gen is not really better than the 3070TI. 4080 recent deal was $2k+.

Which ram did you buy? For the ssd, if you swap the original one, how does the windows 11 license work? Is it tied to the old hard drive or is the license built into the laptop itself?

Existing RAM is (2) 8GB not soldered.
Upgradeable to 64GB which I am using now.

There is an extra space for another hard drive.
I installed 2TB into the spare storage slot.

Was exceptionally easy to do. The odd thing was getting the spare storage to be recognized at first. Formatted. Rebooted. Screen may go dark for a minute or longer while processing. I think it's common, tho.

Ram upgradable?
Yea, says 32GB max, but you can put at least 64GB in there

Yes, this is previous gen.

No, you can't do better at Lenovo with codes and cashback.
