At $50, this amp has a nearly identical feature set as the Fender Frontman 20G that retails for $100. While I would suggest spending more and getting a more feature laden amp, you'd be hard pressed to find a better value than this. The Stage Right 15 watt tube amp is great too, I own one and love it, but this will due just fine for a practice amp if you're a beginner on a tight budget... I mean, it's 1/5 the price for Pete's sake. The best thing you can say about an amp at this price point is that it's not terrible.

Come on. I agree about the 15W being nice. I simply disagree about the cheaper one for it's price. I did agree it's got SOME quality for what it is. It's just one I would skip for others. I know that offends you because you bought and are defending it. And your report is appreciated. I just do not recommend that one for new users. I do not like practice ONLY combos. And ask why not get one that does both. Nor do I care for stadium only amp head at home. Even in the stadium (on 11) they are not the whole formula (for high gain). Just hearing loss.

And it's not JUST about all-in-one products; but they play an important part in the best value recommendations. The right combination of gear matters. It's the most pros and the best slick deal price. Guitar gear is interactive and can stack(The gain and the discounts). A great part is not the whole 'song'. Conversely an amp head farm is not slick. No wrong; just not slick value wise.

Everyone has a limit; either because you do not have the means or you do and would like to keep some of it. LOL. Filling your basement with gear will not make you happy in life. Again it's not wrong; but might be for you. Stepping on a lot of toes there; but I'm telling the truth. I'm temped to buy to much, just like everyone else. And no I'm not telling anyone what they have to do. I used to think guitar stars can justify barns of duplicate gears. But we know what that is, just the same. Human nature. And there we must employ self-control eventually. There is no rich net worth level that removes all of your problems and makes like easier. Don't be afraid of it; but one has to be able to handle wealth or poverty wisely. Not to mention in-between traps.

Everything comes back to this is SLICK DEALS. It doesn't mean you can't be happy with a practice *only* amp and collect them if you please. That can be fun. I'm just trying to tell new guitar buyers not to fall for the practice only devices. You can do that with your smart phone and not sound "half-bad" doing it.

And everyone can rag on me for saying a MP 15W combo plus a Cube Baby is the best thing since sliced bread; but beat that then. Slick Price included, any song, bedroom to stage volumes, 25 lbs portable combo. $35 for real multi FX+ with IR loading (not that you need the computer), AND better ALL knob control and with foot buttons as not an extra cost. I'm listening.

Plus I'm actually testing them; but I know better than to only try to just justify my choices. I don't care. Hopefully some better combination of gear will prove me wrong! Let's have it. But the goal is to not need to trade gear a lot. Success!
