Bought two of these when there was a refurbished deal on ebay for $250 each. They support a paralell cable system that lets you combine their power to run at 3200-3600w continuous load. They run very quiet and sip gas and I was able to power my ancient 1993 RV's a/c off both of them combined. During the winter I plan on just running one of them for the 700w heater I use. I thought about getting the 3200/4000w unit but it weighs like 110lbs and each of these guys weigh just 60lbs or so and use half the gas so to me it made more sense to get two of them to give me more flexibility with how I use them.

Only thing of note is the intake is on the underside of the unit so you should place them on a pad or wooden board clear of dirt/debris if you don't want to have to clean the filter all the time. All of the bad reviews have to do with people not taking care of them and using them in dusty / sandy environments.

Is dual fuel that helpful of a feature for generators? I don't expect to use mine besides outages.

Highly recommend that you you use propane on your dual fuel generator as a power back up device.

that's kinda a dealbreaker tho for someone like me whose primary use is tailgating. the lot is grass. I don't want to have to worry about a poorly-designed air intake for a generator.

I bought this new a couple years ago in warehouse. It worked well for my rv. Obviously for the lights and fridge, not enough to run the microwave or the AC. Beware: the intake is one of the lower points inside, and there's no air filter. The intake looks like an air box that would house a filter, but it's empty inside. It's now a paperweight in the garage, it sucks air ( and dirt/debris) from the bottom of the unit right into the carb.

Do not buy this. Quality is ok but the noise is one of the loudest inverter gens and the air intake on the bottom is a complete fail. If you still want to buy one they go on eBay sale refurbed for 200.

I own one and also the TRI fuel conversional gen.
