With the gimped RTX3060ti you only get 8 gig, these are 16gb. I use mine for AV1 media encoding and creative (pics, etc, streaming) very fast and recent driver updates have greatly improved the game speed. I would say this card is for 1080 or 2k monitors at the most and forget about ray tracing or 4k. The 16 GB gives you a lot of extra room in newer titles that are pushing 11-12 GB of VRAM needed.

It's a good 1st gen card for the price for midrange and I would buy it over an Nvidia (because of media encoding) and certainly manages my moderate gaming needs but really shines on media and creative which is my primary workflow. It blew my mac pro m2 out of the water when paired w/ an Intel processor it's not even close. Of course its not as well packages as a mac studio...

As to passmark its pretty useless for maybe raw power, because the sw graphics drivers are always optimizing -- much more than Nvidia or AMD because they have been doing graphics forever.

From what I've read it's down to 45w at idle, which is still high but not horrendous. I'm still old school and turn my computer off when not in use though so 🤷🏻 ♂️

It seems like I get a new driver almost every other week for my RTX 3070.
I will admit I've never had a single glitch installing them, probably at least 80-90 times over 3 yrs.
