You can use the Docker Wyze Bridge addon to pump the video feed into frigate NVR addon for object detection, video recording, and playback in home Assistant.

Overall it works, but I feel like the wyze cameras could be better. For a real security system I'd go with another camera. For watching my cats it's fine

I've seen new Cam v3 multi-packs cheaper or the same price as these refurbs in the past.

Home Depot 2-pack if you were lucky enough to find it was the only time I've seen it cheaper.

Should be fine. Most wifi smart plugs are rated for up to 15amps max. As long as you don't exceed 15A, you should be good.

Edit: According to Wyze's own tech specs, it supports 15A max w/ overload protection.https://www.wyze.com/products/wyze-plug-outdoor
Thanks! I wandered over to Wyze web page, and it does say 15 amps.

Wyze cam's software and AI seems to be way better than Ring. Surprised by this since would expect Ring to be better on that front

I love Wyze but buyer beware with this deal.

I took advantage of the last Woot sale and the quality was awful.

Got one V3 camera that was COVERED in tar, one OG unit (not sure how they included that when the deal was for a V3) and 2 units were flat out defective.

Woot refunded my money, but it was a pain. Also, getting some of the cameras registered with my Cam+ account took their support team to get done as the original owner still somehow was registered?

Woot ships these right from a refurbisher I think.

Not sure it's worth the trouble to save a few bucks on the cameras.

Good to know. Sounds like they get sent out unchecked for the end consumer to do the refurb testing for them.

I bought multiple refurbished items through woot in the past and have had good experience. I guess YMMV since the items are shipped / handled by a third-party.

This will be unfortunate if Wyze's refurb items sold through Woot are like this. Thankfully Woot customer support has been pretty good to me so worth the gamble.

Can anyone comment about their experience with refurbished products from Woot?
I purchased refurbished blink cameras in the past. They looked, and were wrapped, as if they were brand new

You need to add a memory card to each camera, but then you're fine without a subscription. Unless someone takes the camera/memory card.

Do we need a subscription to get alerts for that cam?

No subscription needed. Alerts work.

I heard people in here, complaining about lutes refurbished items and I have to agree. I don't think there's any refurbishment going on. I think it's literally a big pallet of Amazon returns. They send them out and then deal with the people who get duds letting us do the sorting for them.

Also, I am a Wyze cam user got the Home Depot deal, set them up all over. They are fairly useful for what they are. They can be periodically flaky and unpredictable and unreliable but once again, it's the price versus inconvenience equation

So if you're thinking about getting into it, I had to give it a try worst case scenario you'll have to deal with a return best case scenario you'll have a little bit extra security, then you had without any cameras

You'll only get snap shots not videos of the events.

I'm also buying for my Frigate/HA setup. Am I reading right that the v3 cam and both the pan cams do not have RTSP?
