You can use the Docker Wyze Bridge addon to pump the video feed into frigate NVR addon for object detection, video recording, and playback in home Assistant.

Overall it works, but I feel like the wyze cameras could be better. For a real security system I'd go with another camera. For watching my cats it's fine

I've seen new Cam v3 multi-packs cheaper or the same price as these refurbs in the past.

Home Depot 2-pack if you were lucky enough to find it was the only time I've seen it cheaper.

I've had issues with quality with Wyze products. Some have come DOA (none were purchased refurbished), problems connecting to wifi, reneged offerings (Wyze cam V1), poor customer service, etc. because of this I certainly would not recommend buying refurbished items from them

I got four WyzeCam v3 cameras from Woot last time they were offered and three of them were bad. Buyer beware.

Did Woot hassle you on the return as well?

Ordered a pack of 4 outdoor smart plugs.

Received my order today and just 1 was in the package. Obviously I'm emailing Woot support to fix it...just curious if anyone else had the same issue.

Must be on your Wi-Fi to control it ? or can you control it through the Internet if you're out of town?
You can definitely control all of wyze's smart plugs/switches/lights/etc from your phone while off Wi-Fi, just as long as you connect to internet.

Funny their website doesn't state it at all though.

I had two outdoor plugs, one failed didn't bother with the second. Maybe I should, returning is a pain. Also just inserted some microSD cards in my two cams, letting the service expire, local storage should work for my low key needs.

I received 3 of the wyze floodlights, still waiting on the smart plugs and v3 cameras.

The floodlights came in it's original retail packaging but was clearly repacked. No obvious scuff marks or scratches on any of them. Seems like did spend time checking and refurbing these returns before sending them back out.

Came with a new accessories pack and had installation stickers on the floodlight module. The wires also seem new and never been twisted before.

The wyze cameras did not have a protective sticker on the lens but no issues with them.

Installed all 3 yesterday, everything is working as expected. Still trying to work out the sensitivity of the PIR and motion sensors. But based on some research,it seems like there may be some issues with the PIR sensor in general regardless if this was new/refurbished.

Overall. Pretty pleased with this set given the price point. This is more feature rich, less buggy and cheaper than the ones I replaced (Feit floodlight cams).

Hope this helps folks decide if it is worth saving another $10 each getting refurbed vs new on sale. Overall saved me $30 going down the refurbished path.

What issues are you working out with the PIR sensing?
It's good you have multiples to compare the PIR sensing between them.

I bought one (new) and I've found it highly insensitive compared to the dumb motion floodlight it replaced. Even with all sensitivity settings cranked up to max. But most video reviews seem to say it's too sensitive, so I don't know if I got a dud.

One tip: PIR sensitivity is linked to the camera's motion detection sensitivity as well. Does not make sense why they'd do that, but I read about Wyze support saying so and tested it for myself to be true (you can compare by temporarily setting the camera's motion detection sensitivity to the extremes...100 and 1).

The floodlights has a pretty long delay before coming on. With that being said, it isn't consistent. Sometimes it comes on immediately other times I'm almost right under it before it comes on.

I didn't have this problem with the feits which I paid $65 for at Costco.

All of my items that shipped out of Middletown, PA that were supposed to have arrived on Friday have shipping exceptions now.

I ordered 3x outdoor smart plugs (shipment weight was only 1.5lbs) and 4x wyze v3 cams (shipment weight was 1 lb). Clearly these shipments won't contain the right qty of items.

I think they realized that they made mistakes when fulfilling orders and are trying to recall all in-flight shipments.

No issues with items shipped out from their Arlington, TX location (yet).
