About the movie:
Director Quentin Tarantino delivers an adrenaline shot to the heart with Death Proof, "a tribute to balls-out pedal-to-the-metal car chases" (Pete Hammond, Maxim). Featuring exhilarating high-speed action, jaw-dropping stunts, and some of the most quotable lines since Pulp Fiction, Death Proof "goes faster, and funnier, than you thought possible...and then it goes further" (Ty Burr, Boston Globe). Kurt Russell stars as a sociopathic stuntman whose taste for stalking sexy young ladies gets him into big trouble when he tangles with the wrong gang of badass babes. Their confrontation escalates to a hair-raising, 18-minute automotive duel with one of the girls strapped to the hood of a thundering Dodge Challenger that "earns a place of honor among the great movie car chases" (Scott Foundas, LA Weekly).

"Death Proof has got to be the worst movie I ever made."

Death Proof not a great movie, but if you don't need the extras/extended edition, for $1 more($7.99) you can get both theatrical releases of this and Planet Terror.
Before purchasing the Grindhouse Collector's Edition Blu-ray, fans should consider how much they love this film. Why? Because the version of Grindhouse presented here is the theatrical release, not the extended versions on the stand-alone discs, so if you want the extra scenes from both films, you'll need to hang onto the individual Blu-ray releases in addition to this two-disc set. However, if you do describe yourself as a Grindhouse devotee, you'll want this set anyway, since it contains a wealth of new extras, all previously unavailable in the United States, including commentary by each of the filmmakers who contributed the faux trailers that played between the films: Eli Roth and Jeff Rendell (Thanksgiving), Rob Zombie (Werewolf Women of the SS, which is presented in an extended version), and Edgar Wright (an extended Don't). The trailer for Hobo with a Shotgun, which accompanied the Canadian release of Grindhouse, is also included, as are making-of featurettes for each of the trailers. Speaking of featurettes, the Blu-ray offers behind-the-scenes looks at the cars of Death Proof, the make-up effects of Planet Terror, a 20-minute talk with Tarantino and Rodriguez for The New York Times, and the 2006 Comic Con panel with the cast and crew. The only extraneous bit is a 10-minute cooking school "class" with Rodriguez on making Texas-style barbecue. --Paul Gaita

Thanks, I might get this. Thanksgiving is a much better film than Deathproof.
I've never seen it (also need to watch The Hateful Eight), but figure I might pick it up so I have Tarantino's whole library physical. Though I'm sure at some point there will be a 10 (11) movie box set

Once upon a time in Hollywood I thought was a boring/terrible movie of his, except the ending sequence. I would put Death Proof above OUATIH. IMO.
