Contacted the seller and they were very dismissive. Just said to issue eBay Return. The item weighs almost 100lbs in packaging. They want me to load into my car, drive to a UPS, unload from my car, take my hand truck to get into UPS store for what? A refund of what I paid?
They know 100% they never inspected the item, sent an item that did NOT match their description and was NOT refurbished but instead USED (and / or returned after used and never inspected). This seller should not be trusted and buy definitely at your own risk
I do not think all of the effort to return is anywhere worth us being EVEN. And the seller knows this too which is why they DARE you to do the return process

I switched all of my yard equipment to electric so I rarely have gas on hand now. I can totally go get some but I usually have a propane tank around and would get me started if power went out in the winter and the roads were crap etc. easy to keep a tank on hand, costs $15-20. Stores easier than gas. Etc.
Good use case though, never a bad idea to have or use an additional option that requires less TLC/maintenance. I just keep gas around for my mower - not much use for it in the winter without a gas snowblower. In hindsight I might have chosen to pay an extra $80 for it (the dual fuel model [ebay.com]).

I swapped my mower and snowblower to electric. I don't have a ton of area and I have to plan ahead a little more. I can't just pour more electricity in to it and keep going. But I love it. I used to smell so bad after I would snowblow. Now it is no issue and I let me son help with it too. So much quieter too. I did decibel tests with all of them and I don't need to wear ear protection for either anymore. The difference is crazy. But it means I never have gas on hand.
The Champion costs a little bit more but it's brand new, better brand, more power.
Whatever the citation and fine is I would gladly accept it and use any time I had to make their life miserable.
Running a generator all the time is one thing. Running it for a power outage is different. Gotta be some exceptions in that bylaw.

The 4000w here is 57db. And has a co2 sensor. And electric start. And has wheels.

Also, you can test your power needs with something like this to see how much power you're using:
