But the $40-50 (US) CPU air cooler range is fairly competitive, typically the Thermalright coolers top the charts of most reviews. The Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 seems to be the top air cooler with both AMD and Intel CPUs and has models ranging from $38-50 on Amazon. If you're more conscious about Thermalright's long-term quality for their fans, then consider the Scythe Fuma 3 also tops many charts with CPUs that draw higher wattages at $50.

Also a very good cooler I can't post here on SD is Thermalright Peerless Assassin they are probably the best low cost cpu cooler but since Thermalright has like 3 or 4 different stores on Amazon and non of them has 750 feedback I can't post it here but you can search for it on Amazon. Starting at $32 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mm4hyIH
I own a Thermalright Frost Spirit 150 I put in my wife's computer and I have 0 complains on top of that it was super cheap I paid $30 bucks for it October last year.
Either way they are all good coolers but Noctua and mayby Arctic Cooling do make the best fan's.

I went with the thermalright BA120. 6 heat pipes and twin fans in a smaller footprint than the peerless assassin. Better form factor for anyone on an amd chip, generally speaking.
