I would avoid using something like this to stain a deck. These need cheap sprayers need to be somewhat upright since the stain is on attached to the gun. Not sure how big of a deck but you can just roll/brush it on
At one point it developed a leak coming out of the trigger area but found it was debris/buildup due to parts not being securely tightened. After cleaning it was good as new and didn't return in the 2 days I used it.
I would skip using the paper strainers supplied though, they clog quickly and aren't needed for fresh, clean cans. And do clean the guts and nozzle when finished to avoid getting gunked up next time.
