I guarantee the people complaining here about Patagonia making stuff overseas consume products made by companies that are far more unethical but in their opinion don't "virtue signal" by supporting causes they don't like. Go touch some grass and get perspective.
Also, if you don't understand why their down jackets are more expensive than a $50 "down" jacket from Amazon you've lost the plot. Sourcing quality down and actually durable materials is not cheap. This is outdoor quality gear that will last far longer, have down that's actually as warm as it's rating, and won't explode feathers on the first nick on the fabric.
