And yeah, it's meant for some heavy travelling. For less the molded cases are fine.
There is no such thing as vegan leather. There's leather made from animals, and then there are synthetics. It is a weasel word that comes from the same scummy marketing group that tries to convince you that "select alder" is a thing and that Redwood is a great tonewood. It matters not what this thing retails for, it matters whether or not it is worth the sale price.
