Woot is owned by Amazon, but it has 3rd party sellers just like Amazon does. The information is hidden, so you don't actually know who is selling the product you're buying on woot.

It works a bit differently than on Amazon because Woot is buying the item from the 3rd party and then selling it to you. That's why they can say "sold by Woot" on their listings.

Here's another woot forum post where one of the mods says Google Pixel 5 ships from their vendor and not from them.

It's been a little while since I bought something from them, but I'm pretty sure I eventually only saw the sellers info when I returned a defective phone and they sent me the return label.

They have two versions now: a lifetime version that can only be installed on one computer, and a subscription version that can be installed on many devices. The subscription one is also more up to date (continues to receive updates) while the lifetime version does not.

IMHO Groupon does have great customer service and doesn't charge tax on this deal, so it comes out to be about $7 cheaper for me. Since I've been using open source Office on my news laptop for about a month now and getting used to it - that $7 was the difference between doing nothing and going back to MS. I went with Groupon deal.

Groupon's fine print states: Promotional value expires 90 days after purchase. Redemption: Register online: at merchant's website.
I wonder if this means that Office needs to be installed/registered in the next 3 months after the purchase. Woot does not mention any time restrictions.
