Hard to say if 4-5% negative, based on listed reviews, is good or bad not knowing how many units are going out. Most people don't leave good reviews but you can be certain people with bad experiences will.

Roughly half of those negative reviews were people not reading the description complaining about accessories not being included or shipping issues. But the other half were people with legit issues of broken parts, DOA, dirty, etc...

I don't think its much to be concerned about . If you figure only 25% of people leave feedback when they have a positive experience and almost 100% leave it when they have bad experience it really doesnt scale out to be that bad for a "refurbished" product.

I also wonder how many of these are costco returns for people who got them for a hurricane, never used it, then returned them or people who only needed it for a day then returned it.

I remember seeing people returning these to costco after a hurricane scare a year or 2 ago and i asked if they would sell me one for a discount lol. I was told they send them right back to the manufacturer.

I posted it as it was buried in the other post for the less powerful one. The one that this morning went out of stock & I posted that it came back in stock.

Just sharing the deal so people are aware it's out there. I purchased this one and don't care other than to spread the word & deal.

Probably 😅 I got a tracking number for the one I ordered last night.. but based on my experience with ordering the 1600W and 2900W versions, I don't really expect it to be in UPS hands until probably Tuesday. It seems to take a business day after they provide tracking info for it to actually be in transit.

Took a look at my air filter just a moment ago and behind it is more of the oil/gas residue I've seen internally on my unit and there is also some gunk in there. Reaching out to Firman for resolution, definitely quality issues on their refurbish job.

Ordered on 8/29 received 9/1 ran it for two hours 1 hour gas 1 hour propane. Powering 1 fridge & 1 chest freezer (easy to do in the garage). Had to use the pull start & I thought the battery was dead, the gen is supposed to charge the battery...no dice. Pulled the covers off & found the negative cable was unplugged. Battery/electic start now works.

Has anyone found a AC adapter that fits? Ebay has a UpBright charger but it's $49.99.

Also looking for a magnetic dip stick.

WAs it just the battery cable not plugged in together. That is always the way it is. Or the negative wire was not attached to the battery terminal.

Yes the battery cable was not plugged together (never owned a battery/electric start gen).

Received in two days, mine appear to have never been used, brand new. The LPG plastic cover does have a broken tab, but still works fine. Will fire it up today on both gas and propane.
