Worse than a waste of money. Nature doesn't make folic acid. It is a synthetic substitute for folate which is provided by vegetables (especially dark green leafy vegetables), fruits and fruit juices, nuts, beans, peas, seafood, eggs, dairy products, meat, poultry, and grains.

Don't eat any of the above? No worries, by law the adulterant folic acid must be added to cold cereals, flour, breads, pasta, bakery items, cookies, and crackers because it can prevent spina bifida in a developing fetus.

What about the lovely undeclared free gifts included with the China sourced ingredients?

Yeah…folic acid is in almost every oatmeal product I ever had lol
