I hate that these batteries come with chargers. Would love the option of buying just the battery, and cutting another few bucks from the price. I have like 6 chargers.
Reviews dont look that good on that knockoff battery. There are others with better reviews.
Plus no warranty mentioned or implied. Who do you contact when the battery goes bad in 1 year? The overnight drop ship company? Amazon?
I dont like the prices of the OEM EGO batteries, but at least I know I have a warranty and a company I can call to get items warrantied.

Typically they also just lie about the Mah. Open em up and they are typically closer in line to the brand name pricing once you count up the real MAH.
Its nothing new all battery tools have had 3rd party batteries for cheaper. Usually you'd only get em for when you know good chance of damage losing or just no need for the true sized battery in specific use or tools

I am not crapping on warranty or lack thereof and I am also not against third party if they just didn't lie and claim it's 9Ah when it is 5-6. Just be truthful, and Amazon should call them out. But since Amazon is a Chinese bazzar full of suspect items YMMV.
Now onto Ego warranty. Batteries and chargers are 3 years. For something that cost $300-$400 or more and a battery should last a decade. I have Hitachi tools with YES 10 year battery warranty on them. Now I had a 7.5 go bad within a year, and it took some serious back and forth w/ Ego and they replaced it with the now depreciated gen 1 (the single light) model so that means they took a relatively new broken battery and replaced it with one sitting for years on a shelf not even in production anymore? Sounds like a deal. The replacement is flaky (sometimes the light remains on), and they said that is not a failure however if the light stays on for a week, it kills the battery. So Its a slow failure just like Ego!
To me this experience w/ Ego I am done with them, and they have literally raised prices 40-50% in the last few years when cell costs have come down at least 20-30%. Sounds like a bad deal to me. I literally a few years ago bought the jetpack (which is awesome) with a 7.5 Ah battery AND the rapid charger for $199. Tell me now that would be $600 or more. Maybe they did that to break into the market, I don't care. But now I can buy a better faster gas jetpack for less and it will last 20 years.

Where does it say these come with a charger? These are bare batteries.
no thanks, this business is planned obsolescence. Give me my gas power tools that cost as much as one battery, that will last 10~15 years. ego owner, sick of throw away products.
This was $269.99 at my local Ace with Ace rewards. It's worth checking multiple stores through the Ace website, pricing is different at each local store. Thanks for posting!!
