Can I remove the SIM card and pop it in and unlock device or a based device? Is TracFone use T-Mobile or Verizon towers I can never keep up?.

The phone will be okay but to me the compelling thing is a year's worth of service. Be nice to be able to swap Sims though with my other devices.

I have an unlocked Pixel 3 and a Pixel 4a. a couple of AT&T LG devices. I wonder if the SIM card would work in there.

I'm sure it's a combination of all that. The hope is they get rid of stock and get people who aren't already TracFone customers into their orbit. I'm a little confused as to how much data you get. This 1500 minutes what is that correlate to with data?

1500 min, 1500 txt, 1.5 gb data to use however you want over a year. When you run out of something you buy more from TF. Not a monthly amount.

The flip phones can go to ebay or get donated.

You can not just put the sim in a different phone, however there are ways to combine tracfone accounts to get the phone number and total minutes onto a new phone. You will have to search for the steps, someone had them in the wiki of an old thread. Otherwise you can search for this question on the reddit tracfone subreddit or google it. Feel free to share here with others if you find the steps.

Not sure where they got that tax from. I might have gotten it even cheaper, but I felt anxious that the deal may die at any minute ,
so I went with it as detailed below. 42.31 total is pretty darn good to me. The 20.00 off coupon was probably within 2 - 3 bucks or so of this total

FONE $59.98
HEADBAND $5.01
SHIP $3.50
8.25% TAX ON 46.30 ? $3.82
COUPON -$30.00
total $42.31

That's state sales tax and whatever your state charges for cell phone tax on service (911, etc and can be high in some states). Be grateful it's only a one time thing, monthly plans charge cell tax every month.

the 8.25 is the standard tax here. I did not know they were charging a cell phone tax now. The last tracfone I got ebay and they just charged the standard state sales tax

Oregon has no sales tax but I've always had to pay state cell taxes whenever I've bought TF service, bundled with a phone or just a monthly plan. Usually runs me about $1.25.
Check what your state requires, it's interesting - Washington state is high at 19%, Illinois is the highest.
