Don't know if i'll buy Dyson refurb again. Vacs have been okay (some arrive like-new, some a bit used) but I've since moved onto the Samsung Jet series which has a much better build quality. Dysons have been very plasticy.

Their hot + cool stuff suffers from long term reliability issues which are well documented on the internet.
I bought 2 AM09 which both (in separate homes/climates) have an H2 error and refuse to operate in hot mode.

Super tempting, and they look really damn cool, the Missus told me to get one but I had to shoot that shit down.
I don't believe the HP01 has Wi-Fi capabilities, the HP02 (which has repeatedly gone on sale at this price) has the Wi-Fi. I highly recommend having the wifi
I bought a Dyson refurb fan exactly like this seven years ago. Still works perfect. Really love the super low quiet speeds for when you just need a little circulation. Mine has a little remote. I have never had to change the batteries. Big fan of Dyson fans, but the full price is too high.

Has anyone used FSA for this? Since it's an air filter, I imagine it qualifies

Yeah if you search HP02 in slick deals you'll see that Dyson certified refurbs have gone on sale multiple times for $200. If you can wait it'll definitely pop up again. Being able to control the Dyson via their phone app or voice control (via Google home/Alexa/etc) is a pretty big quality of life upgrade

Flexible spending account. It's like a HSA, where the money you put into it isn't taxed and meant to cover medical expenses, but unlike an HSA a FSA can be used with a standard PPO Health Insurance Plan, the biggest con though is it's generally use it or lose it at the end of the year unlike an HSA.

Air Purifiers might be covered, but pretty sure you would need a doctor's note for it to be covered.

So with the Missus out of the equation now, did you end up getting one?

Is this a good deal? I feel like I have enough things on Google assistant already with reliability issues (smart plugs, Google home minis, and LG TV ) don't feel like I need the HP02. Would this be a good deal if I didn't care to have voice control?

Alright guys. I bought this new and this thing makes an annoying low rattle/whirring at low speeds on any surface flat or carpeted and dyson refuses to bring this into warranty or check on it.

I regret buying this and would rather have a Conway and a heater separately.

If it's still under warranty, then maybe you should have it fail, and process the warranty.

Magnet probably won't work. Large microwave? Car battery always do the trick for me

Yes, you can do both the unit and the filters (they're about $100 and last a year) with an FSA. you need a dr letter to have it approved.

Mine has a magnetic remote, which is the only way to control the heat mode.
Do not lose the remote. They're not cheap to replace

They make a cheaper clone remote now and can get it from Amazon for like $20-30. Got a display hp-09 for really cheap and had to get a remote. Works fine
