Don't know if i'll buy Dyson refurb again. Vacs have been okay (some arrive like-new, some a bit used) but I've since moved onto the Samsung Jet series which has a much better build quality. Dysons have been very plasticy.

Their hot + cool stuff suffers from long term reliability issues which are well documented on the internet.
I bought 2 AM09 which both (in separate homes/climates) have an H2 error and refuse to operate in hot mode.

Super tempting, and they look really damn cool, the Missus told me to get one but I had to shoot that shit down.
I don't believe the HP01 has Wi-Fi capabilities, the HP02 (which has repeatedly gone on sale at this price) has the Wi-Fi. I highly recommend having the wifi
I bought a Dyson refurb fan exactly like this seven years ago. Still works perfect. Really love the super low quiet speeds for when you just need a little circulation. Mine has a little remote. I have never had to change the batteries. Big fan of Dyson fans, but the full price is too high.

Alright guys. I bought this new and this thing makes an annoying low rattle/whirring at low speeds on any surface flat or carpeted and dyson refuses to bring this into warranty or check on it.

I regret buying this and would rather have a Conway and a heater separately.
Mine has a magnetic remote, which is the only way to control the heat mode.
Do not lose the remote. They're not cheap to replace

I was gonna say the same. I thought a Dyson refurb heater fan also like 6 years ago for this price and it still works good as new. It's nice to warm the room up in the winter when I wake up.

Yeah if you search HP02 in slick deals you'll see that Dyson certified refurbs have gone on sale multiple times for $200. If you can wait it'll definitely pop up again. Being able to control the Dyson via their phone app or voice control (via Google home/Alexa/etc) is a pretty big quality of life upgrade
Are you able to turn on the heat using the app or Alexa? I think it only turns on in the cool mode remotely because of safety concerns

Looks like SAVE20EXTRA works for HP02 to get to final $200.

For those who had bought refurb Dyson fan before, is the unit clean and with a new filter? Many years ago I bought one it was fairly clean.

My HP02 is unreliable and does not work consistently with smart home devices. Also most important functionality are disabled or not part of the firmware . Lost the remote. Remotes are not cheap.
Error: This machine is compliant with safety standard UL 1278, as required by the US Government.
For this reason, heating and temperature control are not available in the MyDyson™ app. Please use your machine's remote control instead.

Just got my HP01 and the unit looks new, just some dust particles from the brown box that it comes in.

Can anybody explain how the oscillating works? In "cool" mode it oscillates. When I switch it to heat mode it doesn't. I read that the system will stop heating and go into standby mode once the room is at the desired temperature, but in my case I tested at full heat mode and it didn't seem to move at all.

Oscillating works regardless of you're using heat or cool. Something seems off. I have both new and refurbished units.

We purchased two Samsung Jet 75 vacuums in 2021 and they're the worst vacuums I've ever used. We got them in a very good sale for around $100 each and even at $100 I don't feel it's worth it. Switched back to Dyson v8 and added a v11 later, and they're just so much better.
